Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a site search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that search, which processes the request and returns its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message in order to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers receive technical details about the visit, including:
- Page-view timestamps
- The referring site, if one sent you here
- The pages viewed and time spent on each
- Your device type and operating system
- Your browser and browser version
- The IP address assigned to your device
Cookies and Analytics
We use small cookie files to understand aggregate site use, such as heavily visited pages and where visitors leave. Analytics services help compile that traffic information. You can block cookies through your browser, although doing so may change how parts of the site function.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the site
- Routing search requests to the applicable partner service
- Understanding which guides visitors use and where improvements are needed
- Finding and resolving technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It offers general guidance about records held by the Sabine Parish Clerk of Court, the 11th Judicial District Court of Louisiana, and Louisiana search routes. It does not override limits on public access, including the general confidentiality of juvenile records under Louisiana Children’s Code art. 412. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Site search boxes are operated by outside companies. Information entered there is subject to the partner’s privacy policy, rather than this one. Those providers decide their own retention and sharing practices, which we do not control; review their policies before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
This guide links to clerk pages, court portals, eClerks LA/LCRAA, legal-aid resources, and third-party search tools. Following a link leaves this site, and the destination’s privacy policy then governs your visit. Read that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to deliver targeted advertising. That tracking occurs in their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners processing a query you submit
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving ads on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary security measures to protect collected data. Internet-connected systems cannot be made completely risk-free, however, and we cannot guarantee that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Louisiana court-record access rules govern records held by a public custodian, not this private reference site. La. Code Civ. Proc. art. 251 addresses the clerk’s custody, examination, copying, and certification of court records; La. R.S. 44:32 addresses examination and copy procedures for public records; and La. R.S. 13:754 concerns the LCRAA remote-access system. As a matter of our privacy practice, you may:
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask that we delete your data
- Opt out of certain data-processing activities
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy in the future. A revised version will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
